Brian Francisco Flores's childhood and adolescence

Flores was raised in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, by parents who were both from Honduras.

A graduate of Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, Flores went on to play linebacker for the Boston College Eagles from 1999 and 2002. Because of his injuries, he was unable to compete in the NFL. Flores grew up as a fan of the San Francisco Giants and the New York Mets.

Flores began working with the Patriots in 2004 as a scouting assistant, the same year the club earned its third Super Bowl championship. He became a member of Bill Belichick's coaching staff in 2008 as a special teams assistant and stayed on the staff until the conclusion of the 2009 season. In 2010, he was promoted to the position of offensive/special teams assistant coach.

Flores and the New England Patriots were defeated 21–17 by the New York Giants in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII in 2011, earning him a promotion to defensive assistant. Since 2012, I've been a safety coach. While he served as the Patriots' safeties coach for four seasons, the team defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl XLIX. As linebackers coach, Flores has been in the position since 2015.

Flores and the Patriots came from a 3–28 hole to win 34–28 in overtime in Super Bowl LI, the first Super Bowl to be decided by a single point. As a result of the Patriots' Super Bowl LII loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, longtime assistant Matt Patricia left to become head coach of the Detroit Lions, and Flores assumed control of the defensive playcalling duties but did not assume the position of defensive coordinator.

After defeating the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl XXXVII, the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13–3 in Super Bowl LIII, which was the lowest-scoring Super Bowl in history.

NFL and its franchises are being sued.

On February 1, 2022, Flores filed a class-action lawsuit against the NFL, the Miami Dolphins, the Denver Broncos, and the New York Giants.

Following text talks between New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and media sources, the New York Giants chose Brian Daboll as their head coach before interviewing any minority candidates, according to the lawsuit filed against the team. The Giants were said to have selected Daboll prior to an interview with Flores on January 27.

Moreover, Flores asserts that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross encouraged him to tank (deliberately lose games) by giving him $100,000 for every game lost in order to increase the Dolphins' draught picks the next season. Ross fired him and then lied about why he fired him after he had won two straight seasons and refused to go down with the ship.

According to the Palm Beach Post, it was Tom Brady. Additionally, Flores said that John Elway and the Denver Broncos' administration conducted another fictitious head coach interview with him in 2019.
